Rogers Thanksgiving

We left Friday for a Rogers' Thanksging at the Triple R Ranch, in Harwood.  We met T, Poopaw, Uncle Tim, Aunt Karie & Cousin Carlie there for some fun outside.  Friday afternoon we went on a hayride to see the sun set over the sendera.  It was freezing but we bundled up and had lots of blankets.  The kids were so busy talking about the trees, frogs, they saw some deer, and of course, are obsessed with the moon.  Anywhere we go, day or night, these kids are looking for the moon!  We haven't been to the farm since February, and it was really cool to see how much more engaged the kids were in everything around them.  They are talking up a storm, and don't forget a thing.

Saturday we headed out to the lake to have a picnic lunch.  We laid our blanket out by the Sadie tree, which is growing so well.  Carlie took her picture next to her sister's tree, and we all took a moment to remember our sweet angel.  After we ate our lunch, we walked to the pier to feed the catfish - the kids all had a fit over all the catfish coming up to eat their food!

We took a hayride home, and spent a ton of time playing in the dirt by the barn. These kids love dirt!  We took a family picture by Poopaw's tractor, and then Uncle Tim had to go, he was deployed to Arizona for a disaster.  We sure did have fun with the time that we had together!

Sunday we went on another tractor ride with Poopaw, the triplets had a blast picking up pinecones by the front gate!  It really brought me back to my childhood, when I spent time with my Pa at the farm.  It is so surreal to see my kids having the same experiences with their Poopaw - we are very, very blessed.

Marc & I feel very lucky to have had two fantastic Thankgiving holidays with our families!

Seeing deer on our hayride!

Poopaw found a bug, and you'd of thought they saw Mickey Mouse!

Feeding the catfish - the kids were shrieking with excitment.
