This afternoon we drove up to College Station to hang out with Amy, Jarrek, Tatum, Keaton, Weston, Brody, Ma & Pa for some fun family time in the pool, and a belated birthday celebration for Ma (Marc's mom).
This was the babies' very first pool experience, and it went SO much better than we anticipated! We had 3 little floats (little boats) for them to sit in, and they just cruised around in the water! Everyone took turns holding on to them, including big cousin Tatum. I do have to mention as a disclaimer that the only semi-gender-neutral floats Target had were little Ladybugs. So Marc wants everyone to know that the ladybugs that everyone sees in nature are actually boys. Female ladybugs are solid black. So Wyatt was actually floating in a boy bug float, not a girl ladybug... :)
The kids didn't really know what to think about the pool... There was a lot of silence and open-mouthed gawking. Annalee's legs were going crazy, like a little duck under water! Celia was lounging back, and Wyatt was trying to drink the water (saltwater pool!) We had a great time, and were pleasantly surprised by how well everyone did!
Now we have the itch to get a pool... Looks like we'll have to wait a while on that wish!
After pool time, we put the babies' high chair seats on the patio table, and they enjoyed some sweet potatoes, turkey and pears in the great outdoors... Tatum was a big help feeding babies, while Keaton entertained both Brody and Weston, the other youngsters in the group... It was a great day!
